Phil and Sophie both grew up on the North shore of Massachusetts, and Phil grew up in Manchester by the sea. It was a no brainer where they wanted to have their engagement session photographed. I thought we would have singing beach all to ourselves, but to my surprise there were a lot of people with their dogs, who frequently came up to say hi to us. We had such a blast, I’m so excited for their wedding this Fall at the Beauport hotel in Gloucester!

The one thing I love about Manchester by the sea is that there is a park and a beach with either a walk or a very short drive, so it gives you tons of variety without having to go far. Singing beach is so beautiful, small and has tons of huge rocks (which I’m a huge fan of). I have a short list of my favorite engagement locations to suggest to my couples and Manchester by the sea will be added to this list!

A blanket to cuddle up in
A couple bottles of champagne (one to shake and one to drink).
