There are plenty of great locations in the Boston area for an Engagement session, but I’ve put together a small list of my favorite locations. If you like my light and airy style photography these locations are for you!
Seaport
The Seaport in Boston offers great light, the city skyline and the water. What more could you ask for? As an added bonus you can plan your date night immediately after! My personal favorite is Davios, which offers valet and is just a few steps from where I love to shoot.
Boston Public Gardens
The Boston Public Gardens offers great variety to your engagement session, trees, duck boats, a pond and architecture. The bridge is always flooded with tourists, bikers, runners and sometimes musicians. I highly recommend getting up real early and doing a sunrise session, so we can have the bridge (and the park) to ourselves!
Wingaersheek Beach
The Northshore offers some of the most beautiful beaches, but I’ve fallen in love with going to Wingaersheek beach. This beach is pretty small, so it’s best to go during off season or during the middle of the week or else the beach is full. The sun sets right behind the dunes, giving you beautiful backlit photos.
Plum Island
Plum Island is a great option if you don’t want to walk too far from the parking lot. This beach offers beautiful dunes and the perfect path to the water. It’s also a great option for a mid summer beach session, I’ve never had an issue with parking.
Castle on the Hill – Crane Estate
If you want to go all out and get the best of both worlds, the Estate AND Cranes beach, this is the location for you. I suggest wearing formal attire for your photos at the estate then changing into more casual clothing for the beach. The trustees do require a permit, which can be requested here. I am more than happy to help with the planning and requesting for a permit. You can expect to spend 90 minutes on the property since there will be a lot of walking.
If there is a location that is special to you, we can absolutely go there. This is only the top best Boston area Engagement session locations in my opinion.
