Getting Ready at Beauport Gloucester
There’s something about a coastal wedding on the North Shore of Boston that just feels effortless. Celia and Colin’s day at the Beauport Gloucester was exactly that. From the soft ocean breeze to the meaningful, personal details woven throughout, their wedding felt joyful and intentional from start to finish.
We started the day inside the Beauport’s light-filled rooms. The coastal aesthetic, oversized windows, and soft tones make it such a dream space for getting ready.
Celia’s details were especially meaningful. She carried a clutch that belonged to her grandmother and wore her grandmother’s bracelet. Around her bouquet was a piece of her mom’s dress. It was finished with a delicate embellishment. These quiet, sentimental touches are always the ones that stay with you.
A Private First Look on the Deck
Their first look took place out on the deck overlooking the water. It was just the two of them, with us quietly documenting from a distance.
They shared private vows while their closest family and friends watched from inside through the windows. It felt intimate while still including the people closest to them.
Ketubah Signing with Close Family
Before the ceremony, Celia and Colin gathered with their closest friends and family for the signing of the ketubah. This is always one of my favorite parts of a Jewish wedding day. It’s slower, intentional, and filled with meaning.
A Waterfront Ceremony
Their ceremony took place outside on the deck under a stunning floral chuppah by Meredith McCarthy. Spring on the water can bring a little chill and wind, which is to be expected at any waterfront venue.
We made the call to keep family portraits indoors beforehand so everyone stayed comfortable. Then we headed back outside for the ceremony. The ocean backdrop and florals moving in the breeze made it feel truly special.
Beach Portraits at Beauport Gloucester
After the ceremony, we took advantage of one of my favorite parts of a Beauport wedding. We walked down toward the beach for portraits.
Along the way, we stopped at a few signature spots. These included the Beauport sign, the vintage VW van, and the bicycles. We ended on the sand with the waves behind them. It’s such an easy flow that gives couples both iconic venue moments and that relaxed coastal feel.
A Joyful Reception and Hora Celebration
Back inside, the energy shifted into full celebration mode. Celia and Colin absolutely killed their choreographed first dance. They looked like professionals.
They then opened up the dance floor with the hora. The room filled instantly, and the energy was contagious.
